After learning of the tragedy which occurred in Newtown, CT, I am filled with great sadness.
Having lost my father to a senseless homicide two years ago– as he was closing up his restaurant, a robber came in, and when my father attempted to flee, he was shot through the heart, and he died– this really hit home for me.
I don’t have children, and I can’t imagine what the parents and siblings of the young lives who were taken feel. But I do know what it is like to have what you think is a normal regular day, and then to get that call which changes your life forever.
My heart hurts so much for all of those in Newtown, CT. All those innocent children and teachers were slaughtered mercilessly, and I grieve deeply for their lives and I wish to send all my condolences to the families of the victims.
